Marketing Specialist

We are searching for an experienced Marketing Specialist
This hybrid role will require regular onsite presence in the Indianapolis region (couple days a week) and require occasional travel to our Corporate office in downtown South Bend (couple days a year). 

Position Summary:

The Marketing Specialist will deliver effective marketing programs to increase brand recognition, create new member growth and deepen relationships with current membership. The Marketing Specialist supports the branch network and various lines of business, including but not limited to mortgage, commercial lending, and wealth management. In addition, the incumbent works closely with the creative, PR, and digital marketing teams, as well as compliance and various departments in the organization. The Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing.  

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

·        Develop and execute marketing strategies to support the credit union’s overall brand, product and service promotions and member engagement/satisfaction. 

·        Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns to reach target segments and meet business objectives. Collaborate with creative team to inform the development of written content and design assets for respective campaigns.  

·        Ensure compliance and proper branding in marketing and promotional materials. 

·        Collaborate with the digital marketing team to strategize and execute digital marketing activities to reach the target audience through digital channels  

·        Facilitate and maintain relationships with vendors, establish standards, ensure two-way communication, make certain deadlines are met and invoices are accurate and processed in a timely manner

·        Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then acting on the information to optimize marketing performance

·        Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the marketing team and the credit union 

·        Ability to travel up to 10% based on business needs. 

 

Knowledge/Skills:

·        Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills. 

·        Curious and has a high aptitude for learning.  

·        Sound project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deadlines are met. 

·        Ability to build and sustain strong, effective relationships with peers, internal and external partners. 

·        Established risk management skills as well as proven decision making and critical thinking skills. 

·        Comfortable with ambiguity, works well independently and as part of the team. 

·        Experience across marketing technology platforms such as CMS, e-mail, Canva, etc.  

·        Familiarity with marketing campaign measurement, testing strategies and campaign analysis.

·        Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans.


Minimum Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, required.

·        3+ years marketing experience.

·        Experience with integrated marketing campaigns in financial services, or highly regulated industries preferred.

·        Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software including Work, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel.

·        Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels
