HR Generalist

We are searching for an experienced HR Generalist
Indiana - Hybrid 

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist will provide support to the HR team through involvement in all functional areas of the HR department with the emphasis being in recruiting, employee relations, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, HRIS, employee recognition and event planning.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

·        Assist with administration and documentation of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with federal and state legal requirements.

·        Provides full cycle recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt roles; provides management and candidates with superior experience.

·        Responsible for the intern program including recruiting, on boarding, and the creation and execution of an intern program.

·        Coordinates and/or conducts employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling and interpretation of policies.

·        Participates in performance and talent management activities with a specific focus on employee support, tracking and reporting.

·        Plans and facilitates employee recognition outings, events, awards, and company volunteer day.

·        Participates in exit interviews with employees; provides analysis and recommendations based on turnover trends.

·        Supports the HR information System platform and helps document and create workflow structures within the system.

·        Suggest and lead the implementation of new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of the HR department.

·        Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook; ensure employee handbook signed acknowledgement is on file for all employees.

·        Maintains knowledge of trends, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.

·        Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge/Skills:

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

·        Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

·        Time management skills with proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

       Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint


Minimum Requirements:

·        BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience

·        One year of Human Resource experience required.

·        Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms a plus.

·        Ability to travel up to 10% based on business needs.

·       Ability to work evenings and/or weekends in support of employee events
