AVP, Total Rewards

Essential Function

The Assistant Vice President, Total Rewards is a key leader responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and execution of all aspects of Total Rewards (benefits, compensation, retirement, wellness, recognition) that advance the employee workplace experience and differentiate Everwise from other organizations. Responsibilities include working directly with vendors and conversion teams to implement and ensure integration of human resources systems through design, connectivity, and functionality. Stays informed of current best practices and makes changes to ensure Everwise can attract and retain talent. The incumbent will analyze the outcomes and effectiveness of programs to ensure we are providing the right programs in the most effective manner. Oversees implementation, maintenance, and enhancements of the credit unions HR Information Systems. This role reports directly to the CHRO.

 

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

·        Provide design, leadership and planning of the Total Rewards Strategy and its many components for Everwise.

·        Responsible for human resource information systems. Analyzes business requirements and determines hardware and software requirements to meet data management needs today and in the future state. Proactively works to ensure data integrity.

·        Owns the talent scorecard. Makes certain timely and accurate completion, conducts root cause analysis, and recommends actions to reverse underperforming metrics as well as actions to further optimize metrics that are at or above target.

·        Direct internal and outsourced administration of benefit programs for Disability, Medical, Dental, FSA & Life/AD&D insurance, and Retirement.

·        Develop and execute an integrated benefits, wellness, and recognition strategy. 

·        Direct administration of the compensation program including salary and merit administration, market studies, job evaluation, reclassifications, short-term, long-term, and variable incentive plan design, and administration.

·        Partner with business units to define job specifications, job requirements and descriptions in accordance with HR practices and compensation guidelines.

·        Direct the development and publication of all HR-related documents related to Total Rewards, including policies, forms, systems, procedures, handbooks, brochures, pamphlets, and employee communications.

·        Analyze internal and vendor data to make evidence-based decisions on outcomes of program design changes.

·        Be a strategic partner and advisor to the CHRO for all aspects of Total Rewards.

·        Responsible for working with the training team to develop the materials to train internal customers and the Human Resources staff on changes and updates to the HR systems.

·        Responsible for coordinating resources scheduling vendor meetings and communication with IT related personnel for Human Resources projects, system implementations and platform integrations. To ensure projects are delivered on time.

·        Oversees the daily operation, development and evolution of the compensation and benefit administration programs.

·        Administers health and welfare plans including enrollments and terminations. Completes reports for Executive Management as requested.

·        Leads annual open enrollment strategy and execution during 4th quarter each year.

·        Works with leaders to coordinate the development of ancillary compensation and benefit programs.

·        Responsible for coordinating participation in and responsible for the plan administration of the 401k, 457f, and 457b plans which includes year-end reporting, ADP/ACP compliance testing, communications to employees with plan changes and updates and coordinating the enrollment processes.

·        Responsible for year-end compilation of data for the EEOC, Vets 100 and EEO1 reports.

·        Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

·        Proven ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams.

·        Strategic mindset and the ability to think creatively and analytically to solve complex HR challenges.

·        Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with the credit union’s overall strategy.

·        High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

·        Self-motivated, proactively takes the initiative to accomplish goals and seize new and often challenging opportunities.

·        Excellent leadership, project management, and time management skills

·        Ability to manage multiple projects, implementations, and system changes simultaneously.

Accountability

·        Accountable for the evaluation, development, and integration of systems within the Human Resources department

·        Accountable for the effective design and operation of salary administration and benefit plans

·        Accountable for the development of appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the Credit Union


Minimum Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience

·        8+ years human resources and total rewards experience

·        6+ years’ experience in a leadership role focused on total rewards.

·        Comprehensive knowledge of compensation, benefits policies, practices, legal and reporting requirements

·        Highly effective leadership and influence skills

·        Compensation certification preferred
